These Terms & Conditions outline the policies and expectations for participating in retreats hosted by Casa de Vida Nueva.
By registering for a retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms.
SECTION 1 — GENERAL INFORMATION
General Overview

Casa de Vida Nueva hosts spiritual and wellness retreats in the Sonoran Desert and the Yucatán (Mexico).

All retreat activities are completely optional.

Nothing on this website or in our retreats is intended to diagnose, treat, or replace professional medical or mental health care.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
SECTION 2 — RETREAT ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility Requirements
To ensure a safe environment for all guests:

You must be 21 years of age or older.

You must submit an application and be approved before attending.

You must disclose all relevant medical, emotional, and psychological history.

We may decline participation if we believe the retreat could be unsafe or inappropriate for your well-being.

Participation in events are subject to minister's approval.
SECTION 3 — OPTIONAL PARTICIPATION
Optional Participation Policy
All activities, including but not limited to:

Breathwork
-
Teachings
-
Sacred events
-
Integration sessions
-
Nature excursions…are optional.
You may decline, pause, or discontinue participation at any time.
Your autonomy is honored.
SECTION 4 — PAYMENT & DONATION POLICY
Payments & Donations

Contributions toward retreats support our nonprofit mission.

Because retreats fund our operations and are part of our charitable programs, all payments are considered donations.

Donations are non-refundable.
-
Space is limited; once reserved, we cannot guarantee replacement bookings.

All donations directly support our mission and retreat operations. Because of this, all sales and donations are final.
SECTION 5 — TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITY
Travel & Transportation

Guests are responsible for booking their own flights and travel arrangements.

Preferred airports:

MID (Yucatán retreats)

CUN (Alternate for Yucatán)

We assist with local transportation where applicable.

Casa de Vida Nueva is not responsible for delays, cancellations, missed flights, or travel interruptions.
SECTION 6 — HEALTH & SAFETY
Health, Safety & Suitability
To ensure the safety of all participants:

Guests must follow safety instructions provided by servers.
-
We may determine that certain ceremonies are not recommended based on health factors.

You agree to notify the team immediately if you feel unwell or unsafe at any time.

Participation is at your own discretion.
SECTION 7 — CEREMONIES
Sacred Tools Use
Casa de Vida Nueva offers sacred tools responsibly in locations where such use is permitted.
Participation requires:

Full transparency in your application

Compliance with safety guidelines

Respectful behavior during events

Understanding that event experience vary from person to person

Agreement not to pressure or influence other participants
We do not elevate tools above spiritual truth — they are supportive sacraments, not the source of healing.
SECTION 8 — PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Your Responsibility as a Participant
By attending the retreat, you agree to:

Take responsibility for your decisions and experiences

Maintain respectful behavior toward staff and guests

Follow local laws

Refrain from illegal activities

Make choices that support your well-being

Avoid mixing substances or medications against servers guidance
You understand that personal experience varies and cannot be guaranteed.
SECTION 9 — CONFIDENTIALITY & SHARED SPACE
Confidentiality & Respect for Others

We honor every guest’s privacy.

Personal stories, experiences, and emotions shared during retreat must remain confidential.

Recording audio or video of others without permission is not allowed.
-
Respect personal space, emotional boundaries, and cultural practices.
SECTION 10 — PHOTO & MEDIA POLICY
Photos & Media Consent
Our default is no public photos of guests, unless:

Permission is explicitly granted

Images do not show faces
-
Photos protect the identity and confidentiality of all participants
You may be asked for consent for group or environment shots. Consent is always optional.
SECTION 11 — LIABILITY RELEASE
Release of Liability
By attending the retreat, you acknowledge:

You are participating voluntarily

You assume full responsibility for your choices and experiences

Casa de Vida Nueva and their servers are not liable for injuries, emotional reactions, medical events, or travel incidents
This includes risks associated with:

Breathwork

Sacred Tools
-
Outdoor activities

Travel
-
Emotional processes
-
Physical movement or exertion
SECTION 12 — CODE OF CONDUCT
Participant Conduct
Guests agree to:

Treat all participants with respect

Follow facilitator instructions
-
Avoid disruptive or unsafe behavior

Maintain sobriety except during sanctioned ceremonies

Honor the shared environment and sacred spaces
