Xanga / Changa

Xanga, often spelled Changa, is a smokable herbal medicine blend that typically contains DMT along with plant ingredients that may include MAOI-containing herbs.

Because blends can vary widely in strength, composition, and effect, Xanga should be approached with seriousness, caution, and careful screening.

At Casa de Vida Nueva, Xanga is never treated as entertainment, a shortcut, or a spiritual authority.

Our Christ-Centered View

We do not believe Xanga saves.

We do not believe Xanga is divine.

We do not believe it grants salvation, removes sin, gives spiritual authority, or replaces the Holy Spirit.

For some guests, Xanga may support reflection, emotional openness, humility, or a deepened awareness of what needs to be surrendered.

But Christ alone saves.

Any true healing, deliverance, restoration, or new life belongs to Him.

What Someone May Experience

Every guest’s experience is different.

Some may experience:

  • Emotional release

  • Visual or sensory intensity

  • A shift in perspective

  • Memories or inner material surfacing

  • A sense of awe, fear, peace, grief, or gratitude

  • A desire to reflect more honestly

  • Physical sensations or discomfort

  • Difficulty describing the experience afterward

Because Xanga may be intense and fast-moving, preparation, skilled facilitation, and integration are important.

What Xanga Is Not

Xanga is not a cure.

It is not a savior.

It is not a sacrament.

It is not a guaranteed breakthrough.

It is not a replacement for prayer, Scripture, therapy, medical care, repentance, wise counsel, or spiritual formation.

It is not something we use casually.

No guest should participate because they feel pressured, desperate, or afraid of missing out.

Safety & Screening

Xanga may not be appropriate for everyone.

Because Xanga/Changa often involves DMT and may include MAOI-containing plants, screening is especially important. MAOI interactions can be medically significant with certain medications, substances, or health conditions.

Guests must be honest about medications, medical history, mental health history, substance use, and current emotional stability.

We reserve the right to decline participation if we believe it would be unsafe or unwise.

Consent and Integration

Xanga is optional.

Guests may decline, pause, ask questions, or choose not to participate.

The goal is not to chase visions or intensity. The goal is to move slowly, listen honestly, and integrate wisely.

After any powerful experience, guests are encouraged to rest, reflect, pray if desired, journal, and process what surfaced with grounded support.
